Yes, a smartphone with internet access is required to drive a DriEV electric or hybrid car.
Creating a DriEV account is easy! You need to be at least 21 years of age and have the following:

- A valid UAE driving license (with at least six months validity)
- A valid national ID
- A valid credit or debit card
(for UAE Non-Residents/Tourists)
- A valid Home country driving license (with at least six months validity)
- A valid International Driver's Permit
- Passport and Visa Copy
- A valid credit or debit card
- A Refundable Security Deposit
There will also be a voidable charge of AED 3.67 for credit card validation. Once we have received the required documents, your account will be confirmed and approved in a few hours.
If you tried to sign in to your account on the DriEV app but forgot your password, click on the question mark icon on the password bar and enter your email address to retrieve and reset your password.
You can update your details by opening the DriEV app and selecting 'Update Details' from the navigation menu.
E-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org; our team will assist you in closing your account. Your DriEV account will be closed 30 days after the last booking date.
You can view all your bookings by opening the DriEV app and selecting 'View All Bookings' from the navigation menu.
An user's account will be blocked or suspended due to the following reasons:
1. Declined payments
2. Expired Documents
3. Violation of the DriEV member agreement
Yes, you can add an additional driver to your booking.
This option is available during the booking process. You would need to click on the Add an additional driver option which will be displayed in the 3rd step of the booking just before confirming the reservation.
Costs of an additional driver will vary depending on the term of the booking. All details are on the app and will appear during the booking process.
Your invoice will be sent to your registered email address once generated. You can also download a copy of your invoice on the app by going through the 'view all bookings' option. For any additional details or clarifications, you can contact us at email@example.com
If you encounter any issues with your vehicle that would affect your safety or ability to complete your booking, please stop driving immediately and report the problem to us. You can either email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or send a message on the app.
The first thing that you should do when involved in an accident is to get to a safe area, especially if you were driving close to the road at the time of the accident. By staying within the road, you increase your risk of being involved in a secondary accident. Try to move yourself and the vehicle to a space that is off the road and away from passing traffic. You should immediately check if anyone else involved in the accident and assess for injuries.
You will be charged automatically on the card which has been updated while registration or the most recent updated card. We also offer Apple Pay and will soon add Google Pay to our payment options for your convenience.
An additional fee of AED 50.00 +VAT will be charged in the event of a failed payment transaction.
All toll charges incurred during your reservation will be charged to your account @AED 5.05 per crossing. All DriEV vehicles are registered for toll and anyone found tampering with the tags is subject to penalties.
Parking is free for ABCD zones for our pay-per-hour vehicles. If the car is parked in EFGHK zones, you would need to notify us about the parking zone either through the app or by email.
You will not be able to use the service unless the past due amount is cleared. There will be a AED 50.00 +VAT rejected payment fee which will be applicable on declined payments regardless of the declined amount.
No, all prepaid trips are non-refundable.
No, there are no refunds in case of vehicle being returned earlier.
The DriEV wallet is an online wallet that you can load up with credit. All future trips will be charged from your DriEV wallet instead of your debit or credit card.
Your credit or debit card is charged AED 2.5 payment gateway fee for every DriEV trip transaction. Save time and money using the DriEV wallet. Once the credits are purchased, costs of your future trips will be charged from your DriEV wallet and not directly from your credit or debit card.
DriEV credits can be money you loaded into your DriEV wallet from your debit or credit card, or it can be credit value you gained through DriEV.

Yes, if credits were purchased through the DriEV wallet, incurred fines and parking tickets will be adjusted. However, this does not apply to promo credits or credits offered as reimbursements.

Service fees are charged to ensure DriEV vehicles are always in good condition for everyone.
1. Fees for an unsuccessful charge, cheque bounce, or payment rejected by credit or debit card issue - AED 50.00 +VAT
2. In case of an accident, an additional fee for not providing a police report within 3 days of the incident - AED 500.00
3. Smoking inside the DriEV vehicle - AED 500.00 +VAT
4. For all vehicles: parking outside of authorized parking zones - AED 500.00 +VAT

6. Lost Keys - Actual replacement charges + AED 250.00 +VAT
7. Parking/Speeding ticket - Actual Fines + AED 105.00
8. Other charges for example: number plate loss, tampering with Toll tags, vehicle modification etc - AED 1000.00 +VAT
9. Fee for Legal Cases- AED 1050 + Court/Attorney Fees
10. Non-charging of vehicles when at or below 50 km driving range (Subscription Leasing Vehicles) - AED 200.00 +VAT
11. Toll (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) - AED 5.05
12. Drained battery fee or leaving the headlights on - AED 250.00 +VAT
13. Impounded vehicle - AED 350.00 +VAT

DriEV Subscription Leasing program gives you the ability to subscribe to a wide selection of vehicles on a month to month basis without the need for a long-term commitment. It is an all-inclusive offering, with maintenance, service, full comprehensive insurance, and delivery/collection. DriEV Switch makes it easy for you to downgrade or upgrade to a new vehicle, at any time.
All of our vehicles are company owned or from reputable and authorized car rental companies in the UAE, ensuring that you get a fully sanitized vehicle with the best in quality, service and maintenance.
When the driver arrives at your location, you are required to take four (4) clear pictures of the vehicle to record the vehicle's condition before your reservation starts. Once completed, you will be required to scan a QR code presented on the driver's mobile device to start your reservation. Please note, you will also be required to sign a hard copy of an additional contract with the Car Rental Company as part of their terms and conditions.
All fees shown on the app are inclusive of VAT and are the only fees to be paid in order to successfully complete a Booking and rent a vehicle, there are no hidden fees. In addition to these fees, there may be other charges throughout your Booking, depending on your driving.
When you Book a vehicle through Subscription Leasing, DriEV includes the following as part of your rental package:
For all monthly recurring Rental Charges, you will be initially charged when you accept delivery of the vehicle, then charged every 30 days. All other charges will be charged as soon as they occur.
In the event you get a fine, charges will be made directly on your account once the authorities notify us. All corresponding fine details will be sent via email. You can always contact us for more info.
We will remind you of your end Booking time 02 days prior so you can schedule your return of the vehicle directly from the App.
You can switch your vehicle. You will request a new vehicle directly from the app and upon acceptance of the new order, you can schedule the return of your current vehicle in use. Once the vehicle is picked up, you can schedule the delivery of your new vehicle.
Please note, you cannot switch three days prior to the recurring payment date of your booking.
Rental Charge: is the monthly recurring cost to rent the vehicle. The longer the rental term the better rate you will get.
Additional Driver: is the optional monthly recurring fee that must be paid for if you intend to have a second driver registered and allowed to drive the vehicle. This fee will be shown on the app and will vary based on the type of vehicle.
Insurance Excess: is the mandatory charge levied onto you if you are the at fault party in the event of any accident or damage claim. This charge is in the amount of AED 3,000 (if no CDW or SCDW has been purchased). If CDW has been purchased, the charge will be AED 1,500 and if SCDW has been purchased, there will be no charge. If you are not the at-fault party, then there is no charge.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): is the optional monthly recurring fee that is paid for if you would like to reduce your Insurance Excess liability when you are the at-fault party in the event of an accident. This fee will be shown on the app and will vary based on the type of vehicle. See Insurance Excess, above.
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW): is the optional monthly recurring fee that is paid for if you would like to remove your Insurance Excess liability when you are the at-fault party in the event of an accident. This fee will be shown on the app and will vary based on the type of vehicle. See Insurance Excess, above.
Delivery/Collection: is the fee that is charged for the delivery and collection of a vehicle before and after your Booking. Service provided to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah are free of charge, however all other Emirates will have a delivery charge of AED 500
Switch Fee: is the fee of AED 100 +VAT that is charged when you want to use the “DriEV Switch” feature to select a new vehicle during your existing rental term.
Fines (Parking and Traffic): are the penalties which are incurred by you, levied by the local police and/or traffic authority, as a result of you violating parking and traffic laws. In addition to the amount of the fine, DriEV will also charge an admin fee of AED 105.
Tolls (Salik, DARP): are the charges incurred by you as a result of passing through a toll gate, anywhere across the UAE, in the amount of AED 4 per toll crossing. In addition to the amount of the toll, DriEV will also charge an admin fee of AED 1.05 per toll charge.
Over Mileage: is a charge based on the amount of kilometers you drive the vehicle over the allotted kilometer cap. For each kilometer over, this charge may change based on the type of vehicle.
Cancellation Fee: is a charge to you for terminating your Booking early. Depending on the time in which you terminate your Booking, different charges may apply.
(i) Before the Company accepts the Booking request, there is no Cancellation Fee. No monthly Rental Charge has been taken from your credit/debit card at this point.
(ii) After the Company accepts the Booking request, but before you sign the Rental Agreement, if there is no fault from the Company, there will be a Cancellation Fee of 20% of the monthly Rental Charge. No monthly Rental Charge has been taken from your credit/debit card at this point.
(iii) After you sign the Rental Agreement, there will be a Cancellation Fee of 20% of the monthly Rental Charge. There will be no refunds or reimbursements of any charges paid and all outstanding charges must be paid.

The program is for a period of 4 years and a lock-in period of 2 years and upon completion, 100% of the Investment Amounts will be returned.
You have the right to terminate this agreement at any time after the lock-in period of 24 months with a 60 days’ notice. In such an event, you will not be entitled to receive any profit during the notice period and you will only receive the invested amount at the end of the notice period.
